Admissions Consultation
The Admissions Authority is required by law to consult on admissions arrangements every 7 years.
There are no changes to the admission arrangements and no changes to the published PAN and eligibility
criteria.

We invite you to review the proposals and share your views. Comments may be sent to Trustees who
are the admissions authority by email on bayliscourt@bayliscourt.slough.sch.uk or by post to:
Baylis Court School, Gloucester Avenue, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 3AH.
The closing date for all feedback is Monday 12 January 2026.
Following the period of consultation, Trustees will determine the final arrangements by 28 February 2026.
Baylis Court School is an 11-18 Specialist Arts Academy for girls with a clear vision for academic excellence. As a Specialist Arts Academy the Board of Trustees are the Admissions Authority for Baylis Court School and are responsible for all decisions about admissions. Applications for admission should be made via Slough Borough Council's website here
The Published Admission Number (PAN) for Year 7 is 160.
Places are allocated according to the following criteria:-
- Children in public care
- Special Educational Needs (ECHP)
- Specialist Arts Academy Places (10% of places are allocated via performing arts auditions)
- Children of staff in the school (conditions apply)
- Siblings, twins and same-year siblings

All other applicants will be allocated via random selection process by Slough Borough Council.
APTITUDE ADMISSIONS 2026/27
10% of places are allocated via dance, drama or music auditions.
Applications are now closed for entry in September 2026.
APPEALS AGAINST NON-ADMISSION
Appeals shall be heard in accordance with the Schools Admission Appeals Code of Practice. Under this Code of Practice the school exercises its right not to consider further appeals for the same child within the same academic year.
Appeals will only be heard from parents who have first sought admission and been refused.
